The Eurotackle Micro Finesse Original Bloodworm is a 1" rubber bloodworm. When most people think of rubber worms, they think of rubber worms for bass fishing - which might be anywhere from 4 to 8 inches long. If you are fishing for sunfish, which have small mouths, it makes no sense to to use worms that size. You'll just have fish nipping on one end. You'll feel a tap, tap, tap, but you can never set the hook because the hook isn't anywhere near the fish's mouth.
A 1" bloodworm, though, is just about perfect. The fish sucks in the whole worm and you set the hook easily.
Use about a size 12 or 14 hook and thread just enough of the worm to cover the hook shank, then bring the hook point and bend out the side. The Original Bloodworms are pretty thin, but with a Wide Eyed Hook or an Owner Mainstream or a Gamakatsu R10-B, it is pretty easy.
There are 10 Original Bloodworms per package.
