The Nissin Pro Square Super Tenkara 320 6:4 is light enough for a child to use. (Young children will fish it as a two handed rod.) It is also long enough to be effective for tenkara fishing, whether for trout in a stream or for sunfish in the town park. It is not really a "kid's rod" so it is not really limited to kids. When your kids grow up, they won't grow out of it.
